Manufacturing powerhouse Dongguan attracts talent in Hangzhou with over 20,000 premium jobs

On April 19th, the "Millions of Talents Gather in Guangdong" initiative arrived in Hangzhou, with 683 industry leaders, research institutions, and universities from the Greater Bay Area (GBA) gathering at Hangzhou International Expo Center. Offering over 20,000 high-end positions along the West Lake, they extended "Bay Area opportunities" to Yangtze River Delta talents. Among these, 109 roles offered annual salaries exceeding one million yuan, while 966 positions provided annual salaries between 500,000 yuan and one million yuan.

The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS), the first major scientific facility in the GBA and the nation's inaugural pulsed spallation neutron source (fourth globally), exemplifies Dongguan's youthful energy. With an average staff age of 38, younger than international counterparts, CSNS mirrors the city's demographic vitality. "We invite talents to realize their scientific ambitions here," declared Chen Yanwei, Party Committee member of the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory rolled out its most competitive offers to attract top academic leaders. "We're targeting young experts in metal materials, energy materials, and semiconductors," said Cheng Gelan, head of talent management, noting uncapped salaries starting at one million yuan.

GKG Precision Machine Co., Ltd. highlighted the city's talent incentives. "Our policies include up to five million yuan in home purchase subsidies, talent apartments, and attractive salaries," stated Li Dan, Administrative Director. "Our R&D team averages 29 years old, and we aim to recruit more young innovators through this event."

Meanwhile, Wang Jianxin, a doctoral candidate from Dalian Medical University, officially joined Dongguan People's Hospital through the recruitment initiative. "Dongguan's thriving art toys and garment industry create an ideal ecosystem for young professionals' life and career development," remarked Wang, an avid basketball fan who had previously made a special trip to the city to attend a CBA game.

Overseas PhD Wang Wei inked an intent agreement with the Great Bay University, (under preparation). "My decision stems from the unparalleled opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," he stated. "This platform radiates promise and openness. I'm confident it holds an exceptional future."

Dongguan not only boasts "industrial might" but also pulses with vibrant "youthful DNA." According to the Ranking of Cities' Attractiveness in China 2024, the city has maintained its status as a new first-tier metropolis for eight consecutive years, ranking third nationally in youth population attractiveness. With a resident population averaging under 34 years old, an ecological network of over 1,500 urban parks and 32 forest parks, and cultural IPs like the Matchbox City Art Time and Camping Festival, this "Manufacturing Heart of the GBA" has become a "lifestyle blueprint" for China's younger generation.

超2万个优质岗位！制造名城东莞赴杭揽才

4月19日，“百万英才汇南粤”N城联动春季招聘活动（杭州站）在杭州国际博览中心举行。683家来自粤港澳大湾区的行业领军企业、科研平台和高校院所，携2万多个高精尖岗位齐聚西子湖畔，向长三角人才递出“湾区机遇”的橄榄枝。其中，年薪百万元以上的岗位109个，年薪50万-100万元的岗位966个。

中国散裂中子源是首个落地粤港澳大湾区的大科学装置，也是我国首台、全球第四台脉冲型散裂中子源。目前，散裂中子源人才队伍比国际上同类装置的团队更年轻，平均年龄38岁，与东莞这座“青春之城”不谋而合。中国科学院高能物理研究所党委委员陈延伟现场发出邀约，“邀请各位英才来这里，实现自己的科研理想”。

松山湖材料实验室人才人事管理部部长程戈岚向记者介绍，这次松山湖实验室拿出了最好的岗位，希望引进顶尖学术带头人，具体包括金属材料、能源材料、半导体材料等领域的青年才俊。待遇方面，实验室开出百万年薪，且上不封顶。

东莞市凯格精机股份有限公司行政人事总监黎丹介绍：“东莞有一揽子人才引进政策，提供最高500万元的购房补贴，还有人才公寓，提供极有吸引力的薪资和服务。目前我们研发团队的平均年龄是29岁，相信依靠这次活动，能吸引更多的青年才俊来到大湾区。”

与此同时，大连医科大学博士研究生王健欣也与东莞市人民医院签约。“东莞的潮玩、服装产业都很出色，很适合年轻人生活发展。”王健欣说，她很喜欢篮球，之前还特意到东莞看过比赛。

海外留学博士王巍则与大湾区大学（筹）达成意向签约。他表示，作出这个决定的原因是看中了粤港澳大湾区的机遇，“大湾区这个平台充满希望、非常开放，我坚信这里会有非常好的未来。”

东莞不仅有“硬核”的产业面孔，更拥有充满活力的“青春基因”。《2024新一线城市魅力排行榜》显示，东莞连续8年跻身新一线，青年人口吸引力指数全国第三。平均年龄不到34岁的常住人口，1500多个城市公园、32个森林公园构成的“推窗见绿”生态，以及“火柴盒”艺术节、生态露营节等潮流IP，让“湾区制造心脏”同时成为年轻人眼中的“理想生活样本”。
